STARTING ON CAPITAL EAST MIDLANDS WEEKEND BREAKFAST BACK IN SEPTEMBER 2012 (JUST BEFORE EMBARKING ON HIS FINAL YEAR STUDIES AT NOTTINGHAM TRENT UNIVERSITY), TOM HAS BEEN HEARD ACROSS THE UK ON THE CAPITAL NETWORK AS WELL AS LOCALLY IN LONDON, YORKSHIRE, MANCHESTER, LIVERPOOL, AND SOUTH WALES.
IN 2016 THE RADIO ACADEMY RECOGNISED TOM AS ONE OF THE BRIGHTEST YOUNG STARS IN RADIO, FEATURING HIM IN THEIR ESTEEMED 30 UNDER 30 LIST.
Uni was where Tom first got in a radio studio, whilst he was studying Broadcast Journalism at Nottingham Trent. From doing the news, presenting shows, making imaging and running the station too, Tom did anything and everything he could at Fly FM. His hard work and talent was rewarded at the 2012 Student Radio Awards where he won silver in the Best Male category.
Tom has interviewed some of the world’s biggest stars from the worlds of music and film: Fickle Friends, Becky Hill, Sigrid, Zane Lowe, Daniel Radcliffe, Jess Glynne, Rudimental and Years & Years being some highlights.
Tom has reported from a variety of festivals, bringing all the highlights and excitement to the audience at home. He is a natural in front of a crowd, having hosted stages at Leicester Music Festival, Fusion Festival and Birmingham Pride.
